Abstract

This project addresses the need to incorporate a Road Events module in the SICA mobile application of the National Federation of Coffee Growers, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) on mobile devices. The absence of this functionality has generated limitations in the management of road incidents during field operations, affecting road safety and the efficiency of the Extension Service. The proposed implementation seeks to enable users to collect and manage accurate information on road events in real time, improving decision making, safe route planning and accident prevention. The project not only has a technical scope, but also has a direct impact on the management of field activities of the Extension Service of the National Federation of Coffee Growers.
