Resumen
Public art: permanent monuments and sculptures in the public space are witnesses of the transformation, the senses and imaginaries about the Center of Bogotá. The places where pieces are found, such as those of the 19th century, are characterized by being places full of meaning in the memory of citizens, usurious and bystanders, and they have also become an important part of national tourism. Public places and monuments as an object of study allow us to investigate the senses that, as a result of experience, are produced from experiences and memories in the urban space, which are understood as resources for the creation of virtual interfaces that allow understanding and learning about the public place-art relationship. Consequently, this research seeks to identify the meaning of art (commemorative monument and modern art sculpture) in the public places of the Bogota Center in order to enhance the appropriation by citizens, from the methodological contributions of qualitative research: of phenomenological order, through field observation, workshops, interviews and surveys as instruments for the collection of information.
