Abstract

This article describes the development of an application designed to support the diagnosis of abnormalities in melanomas, which was implemented from image processing, this was carried out with certain use algorithms that use a knowledge base of several professionals dermatology, as well as knowledge concerning image processing. This software tool is divided into several fully modular stages, for which a series of tests that verify proper operation and compliance with the recommendations given by the specialist were made, this tool allows the characterization of parameters such as color, borders , symmetry and diameter, features shown in a user interface that allows managing clinical patient data, in the end, this application provides a report of the characteristics for each patient, which facilitates specialist analysis of melanoma
