Resumen
At present, some Higher Education Institutions in Colombia do not have systems that capture, digitize and store information on student access to the different services offered. This becomes a major inconvenience, when the IES begins a quality certification process, because the Ministry of Education requires a transversal system that captures relevant information about the programs offered to ensure their quality, this is found in The Guide for the Verification of Institutional Conditions for the Granting of the Qualified Registry, created by the ministry. Institutions such as the National University of Colombia, the National Pedagogical University or the Francisco José de Caldas District University are some of the institutions that present a disarticulation of information.
Given the current state of HEIs and their manual registration processes, there is no digital system that articulates the information and allows them to cross-analyze the data collected in the different programs offered. The result of this misinformation directly affects decision-making based on erroneous analysis.
Therefore, a multiplatform IoT registration system was designed, developed and implemented for the registration of access to the institution, a control of classes and attendance to these through QR codes at the Francisco José de Caldas District University, technological faculty.
In this document each of the phases required for the execution of the project are specified, it is also evidenced how the platform allows to collect and centralize the data helping to improve current processes by providing real-time, quality and reliable information for the taking of decisions, both administrative and logistical in the organization of physical and human resources when establishing the capacity and disposition of the facilities.
