Resumen
The importance of understanding the territory in order to make the best possible technical decisions is fundamental for any entity that manages geographic information. Social and environmental issues, as well as access to fundamental rights, are often directly influenced by geographic location. Soacha, Cundinamarca, is one of the municipalities with the highest levels of social inequality in Colombia and faces multiple challenges related to security, public services coverage, and deficiencies in road infrastructure, among others. The creation of the GeoSoacha geovisor was driven by the need to represent and diagnose one of these issues: the condition of the municipality's road network. The development of the geovisor involved the design of a field data collection methodology, the structuring of a geospatial database, and the web-based visualization of the final results. Initially, the case study focused on Commune 5 "San Mateo", but the ultimate goal is to expand the project to include all communes of the municipality.
