Resumen
The project focuses on the redesign, production, and commercialization of an automated litter box for cats, targeting urban pet owners in Bogotá. The product features an automated system that simplifies waste cleaning, saving time and enhancing the experience for cat owners. A descriptive analysis of the market, engineering, and finances was conducted, concluding that the business is viable.
The financial analysis revealed a positive Net Present Value (NPV) and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) exceeding the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) of 12.61%, with a payback period of 3.5 years. Potential risks include fluctuations in demand and operating costs, which can be mitigated through an effective commercial strategy and expense control. The initial investment will be covered through a bank loan of $50 million and partner equity. Under these considerations, the project is viable in the long term, with promising growth prospects in an expanding market.
