Masificación del rugby y el polo en la República Argentina durante el siglo XX y XXl

Abstract

This monograph determines, through exhaustive documentary research, the aspects that have influenced the massification of rugby and polo in the Argentine Republic in the 20th and 21st centuries. The historical background, rules and principles of these team sports are reviewed, as well as the stages that have characterized their development in Argentina, taking into account various phenomena of a social, cultural and economic nature that have allowed these sports to have great reception in the population as a whole, state support, obtaining several orbital titles and a sense of national identity around its practice. The different difficulties of the professionalization of both disciplines in the country are also explored. The investigation was carried out in 2021 until March 2022, to be continued from September to this date. Quantitative data mining and citation and bibliographic reference elaboration programs were used.
