In antiquity, having a swimming pool was a sign of exceptional privilege, but over the years, this product has ceased to be a luxury item to become a work within reach of almost all pockets and in a totally Integrated in our society. At the time of thinking and bringing to reality the construction project of a swimming pool should be considered the economic expenses of the post construction of this work consisting of the maintenance of pool water which is established and set out in the political constitution Of Colombia which one of its decrees requires that the norms of security in swimming pools regulated by the national Government be established by means of Decree number 2171 of 2009 when indicating measures applicable to swimming pools and similar structures.
One of the safety measures required by this decree is that the water should be kept permanently clean and healthy, meeting the hygienic-sanitary requirements established by the respective sanitary authority. The chemical disinfection treatment must comply with the conditions established by the regulation to protect the health of users.
RESOLUTION NUMBER 00001618 OF 2010 of May 7, 2010, this resolution aims to establish the physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics with the acceptable values that must comply with the water contained in ponds of pools and similar structures of recirculation, the frequency of control And monitoring the water quality to be performed by the responsible and the sanitary authority, as well as the basic instrument of water quality.
This paper focuses on the requirements for the chemical parameters of the pool water at the national level; The automatic system is designed to control the chemical parameters established by the regulations for swimming pools located in Colombian territory. A comparison of programmable logic controllers (PLC), which focused on the technical characteristics vs costs offered by the designer and creative brands of these devices, is carried out by designing the Ladder programming of the PLC, taking into account the diagram of Processes that the system has.
