Abstract

In recent years, due to the high environmental impact, energy efficiency has taken on great importance, therefore, and to combat this problem, world leaders have met in conventions and generated policies that promote the efficient use of resources, a sample of This is the Kyoto protocol, in which binding emission reduction targets were established for 37 industrialized countries and the European Union (Ministry of Ambeinte, Colombia, 2015). In 2015, the Paris Agreement was approved, which replaces the Kyoto protocol from 2020, which will seek to keep the increase in global temperature below 2ºC, increasing the ability to adapt to the effects of climate change and promoting climate resilience and low carbon development. (European Commission, 2015) In Colombia, the Ministry of Mines and Energy is the entity in charge of formulating and adopting policies aimed at the sustainable use of mining and energy resources to contribute to the economic and social development of the country (Ministry of Mines and Energy, 2020), for For its part, UPME's mission is to plan mining-energy development, support the formulation and implementation of public policy, and generate knowledge and information for a sustainable future (UPME, 2020). The purpose of this project is to evaluate the viability of a company that provides the energy audit service in the residential sector of Bogotá under the regulations that correspond to it, since this will contribute to the efficient use of energy in the residential sector and by thus mitigate the environmental impact generated by the use of natural resources.
