Resumen
Given the importance of the underground water resource in terms of its participation in the available freshwater reserves in the planet, it is necessary to visualize the water resource in an integral way, whose management includes the evaluation of both its quality and its intrinsic vulnerability, with the purpose of knowing its characteristics, current status, weaknesses and threats. The municipality of Tenjo, dependent to a large extent on the extraction of this resource for the normal development of its activities, requires knowing and deepening the information it has in front of it for the sake of an adequate and integral management of it, which guarantees its protection and use. For this, the evaluation of the physicochemical and microbiological quality of the underground water resource and of the intrinsic vulnerability of the aquifers present in the municipality, through a sample analysis of wells, was proposed. The population for this study corresponded to wells dedicated to irrigation whose depths were less than 100 m, and statistically the sample size was 37. The laboratory analyzes were carried out by the Environmental Research Center of the Autonomous Regional Corporation of Cundinamarca and the information needed to determine the vulnerability came from official sources.
