Resumen
The current development of some of the main cities in the world is determined by an urbanization model influenced by the logic of the capitalist economic system and the globalization of cities, factors that, when projected into state urban and social planning policies, they impose the parameters for the organization and functionality of cities. This orientation has resulted in development policy for cities not only having implications for monetary growth models, but also impacting social sectors that are not part of commercial and private interests, obtaining as usufruct a city model that produces spaces in which human relations are subordinated to obtaining and holding capital. For this reason, in the pedagogical intervention developed in the IED Colegio República Bolivariana de Venezuela, the need to examine with the students the urban problems that characterize the space of Los Mártires-Bogotá, where the institution is located, was sustained, encompassing, in a citizen training process mediated by ICTs, the link between rights, duties, their guarantees and the city from three key components: housing problems, the crisis of public space and the relevance of citizen participation based on the interpretation of the right to the city as an analytical reference of urban reality and complexity.
