Abstract

The motivation lies in the fact that currently construction projects have been affected by deficiencies in the planning and management of the project; This has resulted in a loss of confidence in society towards those of us who are part of the construction industry, for which reason this document seeks to implement a project control and monitoring system (PMBOK® Guide, s. f.) from the beginning of this and throughout the fulfillment of the contract, to identify possible factors that affect the development of the projects, minimizing affectations in the schedule and budget. Likewise, it is sought that this tool be implemented in companies that currently do not apply any type of control in the development of their projects, or that having applied it, do not have an effective method of communication of these results to the interested parties. Page | 6 We consider that the work carried out by the colleagues, although it considered some of these aspects, has limitations when putting it into practice because it is not applicable to the extension of activities that many of the projects, and in terms of the visualization of the data or reporting, the Power BI tool is much more robust for these purposes; The focus area of ​​the research will be the private sector companies that are in charge of the successful completion of infrastructure construction projects.
