Resumen
This project proposed a mechanical improvement for a sugar cane mill, focusing on increasing its extraction efficiency. To address this problem, several improvements were proposed, including the static study of the shafts of the three roller masses, the change of roller material to increase their durability, the optimization of the grooving to maximize extraction, the modification of the dimensions of the openings between the rollers, and the design of a feeder tray to ensure uniform and constant feeding. In addition, a finite element simulation was performed to analyze the stresses and deformations in the rollers, validating the proposed improvements. These interventions sought not only to strengthen the milling process, but also to increase the production of products such as honey and panela, promoting a more efficient and sustainable use of agroindustrial resources.
