Resumen
Exploring multiculturalism awareness through secondary group experiences is a qualitative report focused on student´s backgrounds inside the classroom, which had the support of a group of ninth graders from a public school in Bogotá. This study reports the advantages of multiculturalism facts to learn EFLand promotes values through real life experiences. The overall aim of this study was to make innovations in the language learning processes different to traditional classes to improve our teaching practices. Through the data collection, it was possible to determine that the language and cultural issues are highly related to learning processes, because by means of cultural facts students become aware of any situation, think critically, and share knowledge using the English as a vehicle to express opinions, ideas and raising student's awareness of multiculturalism implicit in their context and not just as the learning of grammatical codes.
