Energía solar en el Departamento de Cundinamarca

Abstract

The electricity sector in Colombia is currently dominated by hydroelectric power generation with 67% of production and 29% of production by thermal generation. Nevertheless, the great potential of the country in new renewable technologies, mainly wind, solar and biomass has hardly been explored .This article aims to provide information on renewable energies in Colombia, in turn, create a basis for future applications of alternative energy generation, which is becoming a necessity because of environmental impacts. For this reason, we are looking for an in-depth analysis, from the development of radiation sensors, to the detailed analysis of the data collected, and then to be able to answer the questions Is it possible to use solar energy in the provinces of the high Magdalena - Cundinamarca?
