Resumen
In Colombia, sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy lifestyle habits are a public health problem that affects a large part of the population. In response to this problem, the District Institute of Recreation and Sport (IDRD) has implemented the Sport for Life program, which seeks to promote physical activity and improve the health of the population through the provision of sporting spaces and activities in the city. However, the effectiveness of this program in promoting physical activity and health in the population has not been evaluated in a systematic and rigorous manner. For this reason, an internship is proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Sport for Life program in promoting physical activity and health in the population. The main objective of the internship is to evaluate the monitoring and follow-up techniques used in the IDRD Sport for Life program, in order to determine its effectiveness in promoting physical activity and health in the population. The process to be followed for the development of the internship will include the review of literature and theoretical framework, the identification and selection of monitoring and follow-up techniques, the design of evaluation instruments, the application of the evaluation instruments in the IDRD's Sport for Life program, data analysis and the preparation of a preliminary report with the results of the data analysis. The preliminary report will then be reviewed and adjusted before presenting the final report with the conclusions and recommendations to improve the program. The results of this internship are expected to identify the most effective monitoring and follow-up techniques for promoting physical activity and health in the population, as well as recommend improvements in the implementation of the IDRD's Sport for Life program. In addition, this study is expected to contribute to strengthening the monitoring and evaluation system for sports and physical activity programs in Colombia.
