Resumen
Water is the most valuable and limited natural resource in human life, it needs special management and protection, which is why it must ensure adequate supply to communities, with optimal quality conditions and in sufficient quantities. In Colombia there are entities that have data and figures on the quality and quantity of water in the communities; in the first instance, the Aqueduct, Sewerage and Sanitation Company of Bogotá EAAB-ESP presents the risk index of water quality for human consumption - IRCA that transcribed literally from the page of the water observatory of Bogotá "performs the analyzes to the sample collected during a month in the sampling points agreed with the District Department of Health, which are considered official and representative to perform the control and monitoring of the water quality that is supplied to the population, and by the DANE are obtained official figures for drinking water coverage in major cities of the country. "(DANE, 2005) It is evident that the data and figures presented by these institutions are generalized to large cities and urban areas of the municipalities of the country, presenting a deficiency in obtaining data from rural areas in Colombia. This work seeks to make a preliminary diagnosis of the state of an artisanal aqueduct located in the Queca village of Une, Cundinamarca and then present alternative solutions technically and economically viable for the population, field study and comparisons with technical regulations of the sector of drinking water and basic sanitation - RAS, this study will be theoretical - practical, will have bibliographic sources on the subject of water and aqueducts and with opinions of the active users of the current system
