Resumen
Aiming to reduce the high costs of pest an disease management in Eucalyptus plantations in the “El Porvenir” estate in San Martin, Meta, owned by Campo Forestal Company, an estimation of the potetially affected area due to phytosanitary issues is carried out using satellite images from the Copernicus program of the European Space Agency. These images were processed with their respective bands to generate scenes of Natural Color, False Infrared and 13 Healthy Vegetation, as well as the calculation of the vegetation indices: Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Green Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (GNDVI) and Moisture Stress Index (MSI). Based on the obtenied information, a classified and unclassified supervision is performed, which undergoes visual verification using band combinations and vegetation indices. It is determined that by January 2020, there were approximately 584 hectares with some type of stress, and by December 2021, the plantation area with some type of stress was approximately 853 hectares.
