Abstract

"Postscript: A Little Woman Was Born," merges music and theater as a creative exercise at the Academia Superior de Artes de Bogotá (ASAB). It highlights the pluralistic environment of ASAB, which fosters experimentation and artistic interdisciplinarity. The work explores the dynamic relationship between music and theater through a tragic staging that narrates the last moments of Eliana, a young woman who decides to commit suicide. The play is structured in two acts, with real and virtual characters, and uses incidental music composed specifically to complement the script. The objectives of the work include using musical composition techniques, investigating the presentation of dramatic texts, generating interest in interdisciplinary projects, and promoting discussion about the training of integral artists. In addition, it addresses social themes such as physical and psychological abuse.
