Resumen
In Colombia, the generation of basic cartography has been a process that has always lagged behind the country's needs, such as planning and land use planning; With the arrival of new technologies such as drones and high resolution cameras, the previously established mapping processes have taken on a new perspective, which has allowed, among other things, to reduce the time and resources in execution. Processes such as obtaining data in the field by means of drones or orthophotos generate a new source of information that will give them the option of improving factors such as time spent and resources, since currently most cartographic products are made to starting from conventional photogrammetric flights (photogrammetric process) which makes it a long-term exercise; In municipalities that are sixth or fifth category, on many occasions they do not have an updated cartography since the process involves both specialized human and technical resources that the municipality cannot pay, while with technologies such as drone flights to take aerial photographs or the ortho photographs, the capture of information would be carried out faster and with fewer personnel, the processing of the image in the office is fast, this process would require a maximum of 2 professionals, in cases of municipalities of the sixth or fifth category, or a larger group when already talk about fourth or third category municipalities
