Diagnóstico Base para el Análisis Histórico Ambiental en el Municipio de Tenjo-Cundinamarca

Abstract

The present research paper titled "Basic Diagnosis for the historical-environmental analysis in the municipality of Tenjo-Cundinamarca", gathers the most significant aspects of the urban and rural components into the historical, economic and environmental scope of the Municipality of Tenjo. Located in the Sabana de Bogota and, therefore, contiguous to the capital of the country, this last one has been developing an expansionist dynamic of population that brings immense changes to the structures in rural areas. Through the investigation of primary and secondary sources, interviews and visits to the municipality, the identification and analysis of the municipality within the regional and metropolitan area of Bogotá was carried out, the role it plays within and permeability that the chaotic growth of the city towards the historical impact of the structures of the municipality. In this way, a historical account of the transformation of the municipality from pre-colonial times to the present has been obtained, emphasizing the last 5 decades in economic and social aspects, reaching issues in substantial changes such as industrial growth, abandonment of traditional agricultural sectors, constructive housing changes, conservation of protected areas and the population increase; in addition, the influence that all these changes have generated in environmental maintenance within the framework of the capital region. Likewise, a description and identification of the environmental dimension of Tenjo was made, the status and management of strategic ecosystems together with natural resources that it possesses, giving an understanding of the current panorama and being able to visualize where it points due to the change and integration of guidelines by part of commissioned institutions for conservation and preservation of the environment and sustainable development of territories.
