Resumen
The present research work focuses its objective on the analysis of groupings and rhythmic displacements in the transcription of the drums in two songs by the Swedish band Meshuggah. The first part of this document shows a series of essential elements in all research work, such as: background, justification, objectives, methodology, and conceptual references, which state basic criteria, definitions, examples, and general aspects of the topics to be developed in the course of the analysis proposed as the theme. Subsequently, the work focuses on the analysis of the groupings and rhythmic displacements that occur in the songs "Bleed" and "Lethargica," both belonging to the album ObZen by the band Meshuggah and previously transcribed. Throughout this analysis, both songs are divided into sections and broken down in such a way that the concepts of grouping and displacement, the way they are constructed, and in general the basic aspects of patterns that occur in the orchestration of the drums can be identified. Special thanks to Professors Germán Herrera and Santiago Niño, teachers of the ASAB Faculty of Arts at the Francisco José de Caldas District University for their valuable collaboration in the elaboration of this research.
