Abstract

The management of information collected in property censuses is an activity that involves rigorous stages of analysis to ensure the accuracy of the data. Among these stages, one stands out where the quality of the location obtained from the census is evaluated, which is one of the most important characteristics in this type of databases. To facilitate the location of each piece of data, a tool or plugin is developed in QGIS software. This tool allows each database entry to be associated with a base map, assigning it a location consistent with the cartography, all through the relationship of the database attributes with the cartography. This document records a case study, including the development in the Python programming language, user interface design, implementation, and the various tests to which the plugin was subjected.
