Abstract

The forest fires are considered as disturbances that can be devastating to the ecosystems where they happen, since the passage of the flames can generate drastic changes not only in the superficial vegetation of the zone but also in the physical, chemical and biological properties of the (Sáenz, 2006), when these events occur in areas of environmental importance, it is the obligation of the environmental authorities to generate ecological restoration programs that allow the development of actions for the recovery of areas affected by forest fires in their jurisdiction. In this way the Autonomous Regional Corporation of Cundinamarca focuses on the support of the risk management tasks that correspond to environmental sustainability, exercising a complementary and subsidiary role with respect to the work of the mayors and governorates that are in its jurisdiction.
