Resumen
This research work seeks to promote strategies to address emotional management in early childhood, through the picture book as a fundamental mediator in the pedagogical proposal. Using a qualitative approach in action research, we sought to strengthen the recognition and management of emotions in children, through a pedagogical proposal framed in the construction of a travel diary, as a result of the exploration of natural spaces mediated by the narratives of the picture book. Three phases were developed consisting of five pedagogical workshops in which the relationship between travel, space, emotion and literature were closely linked.
The results showed that children were able to identify emotions such as joy, sadness, anger and fear more clearly. In addition, they showed progress in their ability to verbalize how they feel and find strategies to handle difficult situations. Finally, the importance of incorporating literary tools in educational processes is highlighted, not only as a means of learning, but also as support in the integral and human development of students, emotional management not only in early childhood but throughout school life, which lead to directly promoting training spaces for teachers immersed in the children's processes.
