Método básico para guitarrón mexicano

Abstract

In the development of this work, it´s necessary set in a context the large guitar in historical aspects that surround it, its physical and significant evolution, and a review of musical genres in which it is played. The method for the large guitar expects to provide seriousness with an instrument which in Colombia is not studied in an academic level but has a great popularity in the musical trade, more exactly in the Mexican ranchera music field (mariachi music). For the method development it´s necessary to do field activities such as interviews, surveys and instrument teaching practices. The method is developed in a progressive way. It´s carried out from a basic level to certain degree of complexity, beginning from instrument description to the practice of a repertoire. Some tools are used such as graphics, adaptation of some exercises of other instruments for the large guitar, transcription of patterns of different mariachi music genres and of repertoire of different artists of each genre, theoretical and practical information with regard to the instrument, reading and techniques, and audio tracks for the personal practice.
