Abstract

The team of the Tunjuelo Basin belonging to the educational and cultural subdirectIon of the José Celestino Mutis Botanic Garden develops processes of environmental education and appropriation of plant cover such as the surrounding populations of the Tunjuelo river basin, which were supported during the course of the internship, through activities such as talks, seminars, recreational days, planting support and tree maintenance, activities and tours within the space of the botanical garden, among others, which in turn sought to promote community participation under the framework of the environmental education for the purpose of appropriation of the territory and citizen identity, achieving with it an integration of the biotic factor with the urban one through direct work with the people of the various localities of Sumapaz, Usme, Ciudad Bolívar, Tunjuelito and Bosa
