Resumen
Estimating the biomass of fine roots allows us to know the state of an ecosystem, climate change and how this is related to plants and forests as carbon sinks. In this sense, the general objective of the present investigation was to analyze the biomass of fine roots, its relationship with soil properties and soil respiration in three covers of the RFP Bosque Oriental de Bogotá, from three random plots per cover, these with an area of 25 m2, measurements of the variables were made in the months of May, July and September in the year 2023. The statistical analysis was carried out with the R studio statistical program, as results we obtained that the biomass of fine roots in plantation was greater than in the other coverages, although no significant differences were found between them, also that atmospheric variables such as ambient temperature and Edaphoclimatic variables such as soil moisture, pH and carbon were related to fine root biomass. The results obtained suggest that the edaphoclimatic variables explain the values obtained in the biomass of fine roots in each of the covers.
