Resumen
This research investigates the actions that the Youth Experimental Center –CEJ has done over the last nine years in The Tunjo Wetlands Circuit, which are located in Tunjuelito neighborhood. This study is a proposal to strengthen the environmental management that such group performs with academic groups from schools, universities, and the community in general and with entities that articulate practices of social service with direct intervention. This is part of the maintenance and restoration of the ecosystem among other actions described in this document that are part of the inclusion of environmental education for conservation declared by the Council of Bogota District Wetland Ecological Park – PEDH- under the Resolution 577 of December 26, 2014. The strengthening proposal created for the Youth Experimental Center –CEJ is made up by components of communication, environmental education, and community management, institutional management, technical and financial management. The Youth Experimental Center is legally constituted as a non-profit organization and made up by a diverse group of volunteers that in a timely manner, every weekend they develop their activities aimed at protecting the newly declared ecosystem in the south of Bogota, increasing in this way the environmental supply of this territory. This strengthening proposal can be adapted for its implementation in the wetland ecosystems of Bogota with based processes incorporating local and distric institutionalization, as part of a new management model of wetlands, taking into account the particularities of these singular places. These spots are important to the ecology of the capital of the country and to the national and international current regulations that protect the defense, restoration and conservation of wetlands areas.
