Resumen
The aforementioned research project was based on the study and development of ecological awareness in a group of children from Macanal Boyacá, seeking to sensitize them regarding the influence of human endeavor on the conservation and/or deterioration of the natural environment and of each one. of its elements such as medicinal plants, this, in order to reflect and change those relationships, activities, behaviors that develop with their environment. Given this, the recognition of traditional knowledge was an important aspect of work, for which it was necessary to rethink about the use and management of medicinal plants in the environment, the problems that arise in their deterioration, in addition to the causes that entail to these consequences, in order to recognize the perceptions and / or relationships present around the knowledge of this practice or traditional knowledge that is reflected in the group of children of Macanal Boyacá, in their families and people in their daily lives. In the same way, Ecopedagogy is taken into account, as a strategy to promote spaces of meaning and responsibility that encourage the population to rethink the importance of medicinal plants in their daily lives, from a critical and transformative perspective, giving meaning to ecological awareness. with the intention of promoting changes in attitudes, behaviors and man-nature relationships in the group of children from Macanal Boyacá.
