Resumen
The reptiles are one type of vertebrates which you can find in the Colombian fauna, there are more than 500 different registered species and Colombia is the third placed country in the comparison of the rates of registered species of reptiles. As well it’s estimated of 437 species (92%) of the order Squamata and 210 species (48%) of the suborder Sauria. You can find this information at the global page of diversity. In this way it is intended to evaluate the diversity of the suborder Sauria in the urban and rural zone of the municipality of “Mesitas del Colegio” (Cundinamarca), for this they are obtaining a record of the Sauria suborder taking into account the loss and unidentified threats of the population in “Mesitas del Colegio” (Cundinamarca). Outgoing they realized the comparison of the diversity Alfa in the urban and rural zone, divided into three methodological phases, field where the collection was done by method direct and samples were preserved, of the laboratory in which the species was determined and finally, the alpha diversity analysis and indices in which the test of normality called Shapiro Wilk. From there the used models and parametric such; species accumulation curve, the estimators Chao 1 and Chao 2, curve of rarefaction, relative abundance, specific wealth given by the number of species, subsequently diversity indices were estimated, Shannon, Simpson, and Pielou or fairness, Berger parker and Fisher alfa. Like this also they effected the analysis of principal components, at least they designed a illustrated catalog of the suborder Sauria at the “Mesitas del Colegio” (Cundinamarca). Following they registered six families with seven species, to report 38 individuals for Gonatodes albogularis, 15 for Hemydactylus frenatus, 8 for Thecadactylus rapicauda, 3 for Mabuya mabouya, 2 for Cercosauria argulus, 1 for Basiliscus galeritus and 3 for Tretioscincus bifasciastus. In conclusion, diversity indices show that there is more abundance in rural areas and species richness, because they are in their natural habitat; the more abundant species in this municipal are Gonatodes albogularis and the introduced species Hemidactylus frenatus, the less abundant species are Basiliscus Galeritus, Cercosaura argulus and Mabuya mabouya.
