Currently ergonomic risk factors at work take importance in the identification of hazards and the assessment of risks in occupational health and safety, developing measures for the prevention and control of these; not considering them can generate in the short, medium and long term different physical discomforts in the workers diminishing productivity and efficiency in their work. Occupational risk management has been a priority for the national government for more than two decades, due to the high economic and social cost that leads to inadequate prevention and control; however, their efforts had not had significant results until 2015, where it begins to show a slight decrease in occupational accident and disease, thanks to the publication of Decree 1072 del 2015 in chapter 6 of title 4 of part 2 of book 2, which requires the implementation of a safety and health management system at work focused on continuous improvement, the results of the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of risks that may affect the safety and health of the worker. The present investigation refers to the application of ergonomic evaluation methods in order to assess the ergonomic risk to which operational workers are exposed because they are the ones who are exposed to inadequate postures and to work with loads-of a wheat milling company in the city of Bogotá, belonging to a colombian business group that produces food specialized in children. Throughout this document, need to develop an adequate process of identification, evaluation and evaluation of ergonomic personal risks is presented, followed by a proactive phase of prevention and control.
