Gestión integral en las áreas de economía circular y sostenibilidad de la empresa R&R Knowledge, Engineering & Lab S.A.S R&R Kelab SAS en la ciudad de Bogotá

Abstract

This undergraduate thesis, carried out through an internship, aimed to strengthen the circular economy and sustainability management of the company R&R Knowledge, Engineering & Lab S.A.S – R&R Kelab SAS in Bogotá, Colombia, by applying integrated strategies to improve the management of packaging and container waste. The project focused on three key components: the development of educational materials for environmental awareness, a benchmarking analysis to evaluate how other companies have improved their packaging processes and waste management practices, and the formulation of sustainable innovation proposals for production processes. The activities were developed within the framework of the Clean Pack Collective Plan, which includes companies with specific needs related to regulatory compliance and the transition to circular models. Deliverables included a solid waste management handbook, awareness guidelines, a comparative analysis of affiliated and benchmark companies, and material substitution proposals such as bioplastics, honeycomb kraft paper, and starch-based biodegradable chips. The internship strengthened the environmental management of R&R Kelab S.A.S. and the Clean Pack Collective Plan through concrete products, technical analyses, and sustainable strategies. It promoted the circular economy approach and regulatory compliance as pillars of business transformation. The work carried out represents a significant step toward building more sustainable and responsible production models in Colombia.
