Elaboración de una aplicación para la selección de componentes eléctricos usados para la conformación de un banco de condensadores automático para la corrección del factor de potencia para la Empresa Disproel S.A.

Abstract

This document presents the application made to perform the selection of electrical components for the formation of a capacitor bank that has as the correction of the power factor. Initially, a general description of the project is shown, subsequently the concepts associated to the power factor are detailed to be able to study the Colombian regulations of the electricity sector on penalties for excessive consumption of reactive energy. Then, the parameters to be taken into account for the compensation of the reactive energy will be identified and with this start the construction of the application with the help of which is focused on selecting the equipment in a correct and effective way by making the description known, costs and units to implement, all this was done based on the information of the company's suppliers. Then the application was launched, which shows a case study that was already carried out manually and where an analysis of a consumption matrix was performed in the first instance to define the capacity of the capacitor bank and the distribution of the stages. With the result a comparison was made with what was done manually and the result was the same, but with a shorter response time. Finally, an analysis of results is carried out and it is evaluated that all the objectives have been met.
