Explotación Minera En Los Cerros Orientales Del Sur De Bogotá D.C. Análisis Desde La Teoría De La Justicia Espacial

Abstract

In Bogota, the mining activity has been concentrated in six locations (San Cristobal, Ciudad Bolivar, Rafael Uribe Uribe, Tunjuelito, Usme and Usaquén) and specializes in mining construction materials (Cardenas & Chaparro, 2004) the problem activity focuses on the illegality of a large number of quarries and brickworks, hence their social and environmental impacts are more severe and more difficult to control and supervise. In Usme where as many presents quarries, 39 of 144 records submitted in the city, (Cardenas & Chaparro, 2004) a similar situation, where the activity illegal acts mainly shown. In this context, this research project aims to problematize and address the following issues which are the social and environmental implications are mining in the population and the territory of the UPZ-Great Yomasa (locality Usme)? and what are the related urban transformations such exploitation are mining?
