Resumen
This work is framed in a socio-cultural context with a gender approach, recognizing that women experience different types of discrimination from different social factors such as race, religion, culture, socioeconomic status, etc. that contribute to mental health problems in women. In this way, the theoretical bases were: feminism, raised from intersectional feminism by kimberlé crenshaw; mental health; and finally communication from communication/education, concepts addressed by Mario Kaplún and Jorge Huergo.
To meet the objective proposed in this work, a social intervention was carried out with women between 30 and 50 years old, linked to the Universidad Distrital Bosa, as relatives (mothers, sisters, aunts, etc.) of the students, being the determining generational factor, and where the challenge was to work with them on the issue of mental health with a gender perspective from a communicative/pedagogical exercise from the development of 5 face-to-face workshops, in which the following topics were addressed:
Mental health, health with a gender approach, most common disorders (anxiety, depression and stress), intersectionality from intersectional feminism and mental hygiene.
