Adaptación de dos piezas en ritmo de carranga de cuerdas y voz a banda tradicional de vientos y percusión

Abstract

The present work mainly seeks to provide a contribution to the traditional bands of Cundinamarca and the country in general, as far as the repertoire is concerned. The adaptation is very coherent with respect to melody and rhythm, with harmonic variations and structures of traditional forms, but with the firm intention that the interpretive technical level is more demanding both individually and in groups. It is definitely imperative to update our repertoire, looking for new sounds, but without leaving behind the successes of incredible Colombian music, which, in these times of technological advancement and new genres, we have put a little aside. For this reason, an invitation is made to the new arrangers, musicians, and composers so that they never leave our roots, because without them we could not talk about history and identity.
