Resumen
This monograph presents the design of a hybrid renewable electric power generation system for the municipal library “Carmen Amancia Díaz Palacios” in Sipí, Chocó, a non-interconnected area with limited energy access. The proposed solution integrates a solar photovoltaic source, consisting of five solar trees with a total of 25 100 W panels generating 7 kWh/day, and the design of a gravity vortex turbine that, with a flow rate of 0.223 m³/s and a drop of 1.1 m, produces the remaining 10 kWh/day to reach a daily demand of 17 kWh. The system includes a hybrid controller that manages both sources autonomously, as well as a bank of 14 gel batteries (1340 Ah) that guarantees one day of autonomy. This design seeks to ensure a sustainable and continuous electricity supply, reducing the environmental impact and promoting the social, cultural and educational development of the community.
