Resumen
Opencast mining is one of the human activities with the greatest impact in the environment in which it is developed and which, due to the nature of its procedures, makes it necessary to employ technologies and to carry out activities that promote the mitigation of their effects in the environment that surrounds them Taking into account its multiple actors. The following document documents some activities carried out in some mines in the region and near the Savannah of Bogotá, activities belonging to the pre-mining phases, during production and during the restoration, since these are not the only ones that are carried Out during the development of a mine of this nature. The fundamental objective is to present to the communities the realities present in the process of extraction of building materials seen from the laboratory of the surveyor offering a panorama based on evidence, and to the companies or persons dedicated to the mining activity a document that allows to take better Decisions thus reducing the effects caused by the activity avoiding in the long term the environmental liabilities that stigmatize the sector so much.
