Resumen
From the point of view of strategic planning, every production system tends to seek a balance between demand and supply, that is, between a requirement and the resource used to supply it, regulated through the main variables of the system. Otherwise, where equilibrium does not exist, the system cannot stabilize and an imbalance is generated that does not guarantee the long-term sustainability of the system. All of this can be addressed through capabilities analysis. These same premises can be standardized to understand how the various dynamics of the labor market develop, inserted within an environment that defines and conditions them. However, current studies on this topic do not have a level of depth that allows explaining the behavior of the environment and also its characteristics, since there is no direct application of said analysis of capabilities in the subject of study addressed in this research, as is the work environment for Colombia. For the particular case, it is intended to observe, analyze and characterize the current employment context for employability in which the country is immersed as a member of the Pacific Alliance, through a bibliographic review that allows the identification of the actors, variables, and components that constitute the capacity of the Colombian environment for the professional engineer to be part of the labor market, in order to establish their current situation as well as the approach to a prospective study, a proposed approach to a model based on the adoption of The theoretical capacity analysis methodology.
