Resumen
This research shows how the kitchen in the Mokaná community of Piojó is much more than just a place to cook: it is a living space where stories are told, ancestral knowledge is passed down, and identity and a sense of belonging are strengthened. The study is organized into three parts: first, it reflects on oral tradition, identity, and pedagogy that make the kitchen a place of learning; then, through interviews, it highlights the most important stories and the fundamental role of women as guardians of these traditions. Finally, it proposes a narrative recipe book that collects not only recipes but also the stories that accompany them, framed within a pedagogical reflection called Education from the Hearth, which invites recognition of the kitchen as an educational space that connects the community with the school and promotes intercultural learning.
