Abstract

The generation of waste in the city of Bogota is a problem which presence in the environment can have serious environmental consequences: problems in sewage treatment, toxicity in natural ecosystems, clogging pipes, proliferation of insects and rodents also cause offensive odors. Likewise, the lack of awareness and public disinformation related to the technical difficulties of derived from the collecting waste process carry the vast majority of consumers pouring it directly to the streets, either directly or through informal recyclers that will not take the ideal advantage of the residues and, as a consequence of this, a negative impact is generated in the resources and especially on water. Therefore, in this project it is intended to raise the necessary elements to start the development of Feasibility study for the design of a technology platform that allows the management recoverable waste in a sustainable manner, generated by the residential sector in the area of Engativá in the city of Bogota
