Resumen
Employability refers to the job opportunities that an individual has considering his or her personal characteristics, set of skills and the labor market in which he or she develops his or her profession. This concept has been developing in recent years to determine the level of employment of graduates of Higher Education Institutions (HEI), so this is an issue that concerns both universities and their graduates and employers, therefore, the EMPLE-AP project designed and applied a survey in 2019 to graduates of the years 2016 and 2017 belonging to the HEI partners of the Pacific Alliance project, and employers who were part of the databases of the participating HEIs. The objective of this document is to update the instruments and the design of the sampling frame for the application of the EMPLE-AP project survey addressed to the graduates of the faculty of engineering of the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas and to the employers of these graduates. Through a literature review, emerging variables were identified as: youth labor market insertion and first job, gender equity, people with disabilities, ethnic diversity and LGBTIQ+ diversity, additionally new skills and competencies were found, which were scrutinized by a panel of experts in employability. Finally, the design of the new sampling frame for both the graduate and employer surveys was proposed.
