Resumen
The following research work presents the study of the influence of the martensite quantity present in the AISI / SAE 1045 steel, subjected to different thermal treatments, in the abrasive wear resistance according to the test of the ASTM G65-04 standard. Specimens were used without heat treatment, with quenched temper and, finally, with temlecriogenia-tempering. Three intercritical temperatures 730 ° C, 750 ° C and 770 ° C selected from the dilatometry test are selected. The treatments were carried out for the three temperatures named above, beginning with quenching using water as a cooling medium. After tempering, the cryogenic treatment was performed in half of the tempered samples for each temperature. It was worked with liquid nitrogen at -196 ˚C, with an exposure time of 24 hours for all the samples, after this a new division was carried out by groups and thus to be able to show the influence of the tempering time in the samples. This was how four types of samples were taken by tempering temperature with and without cryogenics, which were: without tempering, 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes all at 500 ˚C. Following the thermal treatments, the abrasive wear test is carried out, with which the volume loss is determined from the measurement before and after the mass of each sample, with the results obtained and the analysis of the microstructure. between the presence of martensite, the cryogenic treatment and the behavior presented against abrasive wear.
