La ilustración sobre la avifauna de la ciudad de Bogotá como generadora de interés en los estudiantes de instituciones educativas adscritas al Servicio Social Ambiental del Jardín Botánico de Bogotá

Abstract

Art has unique faculties in terms of communication and assimilation of new concepts. Through the plastic arts, it is intended to generate a basic understanding of the anatomy and morphology of birds, since through illustration the understanding enters a plane in which words can't communicate optimally as it does the picture. By dimensioning the complexity of the birdlife structures and by learning to observe and identify the birds of the city and especially those that inhabit the JBB-JCM, the workshop attendee will be able to generate a sense of belonging and empathy with respect to the Bogotá's fauna and therefore to the habitats they occupy. Thus, the assistants of the illustration workshop applied in this Bachelor's Thesis maintained close contact with the birds present in the city, learning about their evolutionary history, habits, threats, and making a reflection on their conservation and that of the city's ecosystems.
