The objective of this work is to analyze the environmental management of the Plaza de las Americas shopping center, divided into two parts, the first of which is the characterization of the site, where its location, services rendered, history can be evidenced, and additionally the perception that two interest groups have, where the users are, that is, the third parties that attend the shopping center to carry out any activity and / or use the services provided by it, on the other hand the operators, which are those that contribute to the construction and maintenance of an environmental management system, this interest group refers to the workers of the shopping center, this characterization will be carried out through the application of surveys that allow obtaining said perception, which will be taken into account different aspects or variables of interest focused on environmental management. The second part of this objective is the evaluation of environmental impacts generated by the activity of the shopping center, for which the environmental aspects of interest were identified, a matrix of study of environmental impacts was applied, in which said impacts could be quantified. to a prioritization of the same and this way to propose a plan of improvement guided in two approaches, the first a plan that allows to change or improve the perception of users and operators based on the results of the surveys, the second directly related to the environmental impacts identified, quantified and prioritized and in this way to be able to provide the commercial center with an external vision regarding the issue of environmental management. As a result of this work you will find different strategies and programs that may be applied or taken into account by the shopping center to improve the environmental management system they currently have. Which allows to improve it thanks to the vision of different interested parties that are involved in the whole process that entails implementing or applying environmental management in an establishment of this type, which in turn allows to generate environmental commitment and contribute to the care of the environment through actions that benefit both society and the establishment itself, without losing sight of the main objective of environmental management
