Resumen
The purpose of this study of national and international visibility of the industrial engineering program and its comparison with that of the District University FJC, is to identify key variables in the national and international characterization of industrial engineering curricula, as well as curricular design methodologies that have transcended worldwide, and internationalization trends that frame industrial engineering programs. The applied methodology consisted in the realization of a state of the art of the different methodologies of curricular design in engineering and industrial engineering, with which a characterization of the same was constructed, allowing the definition of generic phases in the concept of curriculum design. Likewise, the collection of curricula from around the world, segmented by continent, allowed a characterization identifying variables such as: competencies of the profile of the graduate, amount of credits and duration of the program, areas of deepening, among other variables, that allowed a comparison with the program of the District University FJC. Finally, the internationalization trends in industrial engineering programs were characterized. This enabled, as an added value, to propose a curriculum design model based on the national and international visibility of the industrial engineering program of the District University FJC and the punctual internationalization of it, and the proposal of improvement actions that break with the traditional methodologies of linear, deterministic and inflexible curricular design.
