Propuesta de plan estratégico de Sistemas de Información para Esri Colombia

Abstract

This research applies techniques of strategic planning (SP) and systems’ information strategic planning (SISP) on a Colombian IT organization (Esri Colombia S.A.S.), with the goal of proposing a systems’ information strategic plan, aiming to improve the organization strategic vision and the efficient use of information technologies, empowering its competitive advantages and market status. It is structured in three phases: the first one, of contextualization: what is strategic planning, how is done and describing the target organization: Esri Colombia. The second phase in which the actual research take place, divides itself in three parts: first, an analysis of the organization information evolution status, second, the corporate strategic planning process and third: the systems’ information strategic planning. The third phase conveys the results and conclusions of the research.
