Abstract

The cryogenic process as a heat treatment on metallic materials has been used recently, so the study of the materials submitted to this procedure constitutes a space for the development and applied research to determine these properties that are useful in mechanical and manufacturing design aspects.; It was performed homogenization and aging (RRA), with an additional cryogenic treatment in order to analyze the impact resistance, hardness and microstructure properties of 7075-T6 aluminum, 24 specimens were worked in the study, which were divided into 8 analysis groups Subsequently, impact tests were carried out to observe the properties in terms of the material's resilience, and finally the hardness and microstructure of the material was analyzed by means of optical micrographs scanning electron microscopy to visualize changes before and after the heat treatment.
