Resumen
The carbon footprint becomes a recognized indicator that allows identifying GHG emissions from direct and indirect activities and also focuses on recognizing routes to control, reduce or mitigate emissions into the atmosphere derived from individual and natural consumption results for a variety of reasons. of human processes and activities in the life cycle of goods and services, influencing the quality of life and its development that impact the environment at the particular and general level; considering the responsibility that the University population has in these processes with the development of different activities which as a result have been the main causes of transformation and affectation of the quality of resources, generating negative impacts on the environment. In order to mitigate these environmental impacts, the Francisco José de Calda District University adheres to institutional and district guidelines which conceive the development for measuring the carbon footprint through the recognition of fixed and/or mobile emission sources. In this way, it is important to mention that it is related to the development of academic activities and/or unitary productive processes and the scope of each activity executed within them.
